April 1, 2009The new ernakulam parliament assembly constituency is created by adding parts of old Mukundapuram parliament constituency to Ernakulam. Seven legislative assembly constituency are part of Ernakulam constituency . Aluva is now detached from Ernakulam. Puthanvelikkara, Vadakkekara, Chittattukara panchayaths are included into new Ernakulam lok sabha constituency. The new Kalamassery assembly segments , Ernakulam, Thirkkakara, Thrippunithura, Vypin, Paravoor, Kochi assembly segments are constituting Ernakulam parliament constituency.
